NEPTALIE “RICO” AUNZO

Neptalie “Rico” Aunzo, who hails from Palompon, Leyte, is a self-taught post-modernism traditional artist whose style and art influences can obviously be attributed to the artistic paths pursued by National Artists Vicente Manansala, Carlos “Botong” Francisco, Ang Kiukok, Benedicto Cabrera (BenCab), Mauro Malang Santos, and Lydia Velasco.  Rico is widely known for his “Pedrong Masipag” series of art works which was inspired by his images of that of an ideal father – an industrious, decent, loving, and an ever dependable one – which, in turn, he hopes to become now that he is already a father himself to two (2) lovely children.
