Ms. M

Ms. M, born in the year 1968 is a traditional landscape and floral artist. Her favorite artists include Spanish born artist, Juvenal Sansó, and fellow Filipinos, Manuel Baldemor and Norma Belleza.

Her keen appreciation for various forms of art by notable artists whose works she has collected through the years fueled her desire to tap her own creative talent.

She draws inspiration from her idyllic childhood days spent in the eco-touristic hub that is Bislig, Surigao del Sur. Growing up surrounded by flowing rivers, flora and fauna, Ms. M found herself channeling the memories of her youth as a focus of her art, a means of transporting herself back to a simpler time which she fondly remembers.

Her choice of vibrant colors depicts the energy and vitality of youth.

The very concept of youth is one that is often lost within the fast paced city life of Manila that she, like many other Filipinos, has grown accustomed to.

However, Ms. M hopes that through her art, she can offer a glimpse of those happy memories and let the viewer recapture the feelings reminiscent of one’s own glory days.
