Daniel Dumaguit
Daniel Dumaguit is a post-modernism traditional artist from Rizal whose works are primarily inspired by his mother Herminia, who sold garments in the markets of Blumentritt, Manila to provide for their family. Dumaguit features the character “Ligaya” in a series of paintings – an artistic tribute to Filipino women everywhere as a fitting depiction not only of their beauty but also the resiliency that highlights their abilities in the modern world. His paintings are characterized by the use of vibrant colors which evoke a feeling of extreme joy and inspiration.
