ADLER ENALISAN LLAGAS

Adler Enalisan Llagas, a prolific traditional realist artist from Baras, Rizal, is the youngest child of Delfin and Caridad Llagas. He is best known for his paintings depicting scenes of the countryside, like the farmer tilling the fields or harvesting the golden palay.  His artworks, whether in oil, watercolor or acrylic, (like the Riverside, Flame Tree and Green Field, to name a few) beautifully illustrate the peaceful and idyllic life in the Philippines. A landscape artist influenced by the works of Meindert Hobbema, Thomas Cole and Carlos de Haes, Adler captures the mountains, strokes of the sun and rice fields at different hours of the day, adding surprise to each and every canvas that he paints. Aside from his deep love of painting, he is a family man who treasures his wife and four (4) children.
